Holy Angel University holds the 1st Central Luzon Media Awards

TV personalities and the people of Central Luzon were gathered to witness the awards night of Paragala: The Central Luzon Media Awards held at the Holy Angel University Theater last February 8, 2014.

Paragala is the very first award-giving body in the region that recognizes the most outstanding, the most watched and the most popular on Philippine television. GMA7 and its subsidiaries dominated the news category bagging nine out of eleven awards. Meanwhile, ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries conquered the entertainment category getting 11 trophies including the Central Luzon’s Choice for a TV Station.

The awards night was attended by media people from different television networks including Mike Enriquez, Arnold Clavio, Jay Taruc and Ivan Mayrina. The appearance of Antonio Aquitania, Diego and Rufa Mae received the loudest cheers from the audience while accepting the trophy for Bubble Gang, the Central Luzon’s Choice for a Gag Show.

The awards were based from the preference of more than 20, 000 voters which comprised of students and teachers from various universities in the region.
